Fir honey is the most prized among forest honeys. Fir trees produce honeydew infrequently—on average only every fifth to sixth year—making this honey especially rare and valuable. It is dark in color with a slightly greenish tint and typically appears cloudy. Its taste is very distinctive. Fir honey is recommended for treating anemia and respiratory issues.
